Pair of 15th-place finishes with Lucas Dirt at Circle City Raceway and Florence Speedway

Cory Lawler made the trip to Circle City Raceway (Indianapolis, Ind.) on Friday evening for the first of 10 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events in the month of May.

Grabbing the final A-Main transfer spot in his heat race, Lawler started 12th in the $15,000-to-win weekend opener and ran 15th after 50-laps. Cory once again raced his way into the show through a heat race and started on the eighth-row of the Ralph Latham Memorial at Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.). Lawler made up one spot and ran 15th.

Lawler is sitting 17th in the LOLMDS point standings.
